Tiger terrorists triggered explosions of mines when the troops were making headway towards further north. A few soldiers suffered injuries following clashes in the east of AKKARAYANKULAM in the KILINOCHCHI district. Meanwhile, fighting continued in ANDANKULAM area, WELIOYA throughout Tuesday (18). LTTE suffered heavy casualties during Tuesday’s clashes. Several soldiers sustained injuries were admitted to hospitals.
