They were engaged in fishing in six fishing boats. Another batch of 15 fishermen taken into custody by Indian coastguards will rive in the island on the 15th of this month with their fishing trawlers. They were taken into custody for violating sea boarder limits. Minister Filix Perera has mediated with the office of Sri Lankan High commission in Chennai to release these fishermen.
