According to Nalathanni Police sources, the Chief Incumbent at Sri Pada Ven. Dampahala Seelananda Thera had immediately noticed the Police after a suspicious box was detected by a labour, left on a roof of a public lavatory at the Vihara premises. On information, the Nallathanni Police and Army have rushed to the scene and immediately laid a combined cordon in the area and later it was ascertained the parcel contained nothing dangerous except two battery cells. Thus the public is been urged to keep constant alertness of the surroundings while assisting security forces to avert every possible terrorist attempt to disturb normalcy.
