He said he does not see any reason to prorogue the parliament at this moment. President issued extraordinary gazette notification to prorogue parliament from yesterday mid night .Parliament will resume its new session 5th of June. At a media briefing held in the parliament complex this morning the Opposition Leader introduced this prorogation act which suppresses the powers of the Parliament. Meanwhile JVP said they are against the decision to prorogue the Parliament. JVP front liner and Parliamentarian Anuara Kumara Dissanayake said Parliament was met only two dates in April and only a single day in this month.
