According to the party sources this meeting is their parlimentry group meeting, because the parliament will meet tommorrow to extend the state of emergency for one month period. “Normally parlimentry group meetings are held at the Parliament complex, before one hour for the parliament sittings. This time the JVP has changed this traditional parliament customs and changed their normal venue. At present the Group Leader position is hold by Wimal Werawansa .However in last party leaders meeting he did not attend the meeting as the group leader.Parliamentarin Vijitha Herath represented the group leader during the meeting. According to the customs of the parliament this position could be represented by any parliament member who represents the party. Party sources say Wimal would be axed when the group meeting begins.Speaking to media today , Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake said Wimal Weerawansa has no position outsite the parliament as a group leader and all the MPs are equal outside the parliament.However he still holds Group Leader Position inside the parliament.
