VIP Chopper makes emergency landing in Mahiyangana 05-05-2008
A VIP chopper carrying opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe made an emergency landing in Mahiyangana, while he was making the return trip from electioneering in the east.
Mr. Wickremesinghe was returning from Samanturai when the Air Force VIP helicopter developed technical trouble around 5.15 pm today .
Meanwhile Air Force said the SLAF has replaced another helicopter to bring the opposition leader to Colombo.

John Keells Holdings’ (JKH) stocks slumped on Tuesday when trading opened in the Colombo bourse on the back of yesterday’s Supreme Court judgement of 2002 privatisation of Lanka Marine Services (LMS).
