Songstress Nanda Malini takes UK by storm Lanka Tribune 11-04-2008
Popular Sri Lankan singer Nanda Malini kept her music fans in the
United Kingdom enthralled when she performed in London on April 8th at
the Camden Centre.
The event organised by the old Nalandians Association in the UK was
sponsored by Bank of Ceylon, Perfect Vision, Lakruwa and SriLankan
airlines.
The Nanda Malini concert was a sell out, with more than 700 fans
attending the event, and Sri Lanka\'s High Commissioner in the United
Kingdom Mrs. Kshenuka Seneviratne gracing the occasion as the Chief
Guest. Deputy high commissioner Sudantha Ganegama-Arachchi, Country
Manager Bank of Ceylon Cyril Madadeniya and SriLankan Airlines Country
Manager Chanaka Olegama were also special guests at the concert.
The grand stage decorations were done by Chandana Seneviratne
The traditional oil lamp was lit by Bank of Ceylon manager, deputy
high commissioner, SriLankan airlines manager, Kapila Jayasena from
Perfect Vision, Akshin Punchihewa on behalf of Lakruwa and president
of the Nalanda OBA Aruna Tiskumara.
A plaque was gifted to visharada Nanda Malini by Methsiri Wijeratna on
behalf of the Nalanda Old Boys Association.

Muslims gathered to celebrate the London Bak Maha Ulela 2008 on April
5th in Feltham.

The Past Pupils Association of Visakha UK held their 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 15th March 2008 in the Salter Suite at Harrow & Wembley Progressive Synagogue in Harrow, with the president Chandani Rekers in the chair. Olagama discloses airline’s new development plans
The SriLankan Airlines Agents Awards Night 2006/7 was held amidst much pageantry recently in London.
The welcome speech was delivered by Jeremy Soertsz. The event was backed by a popular music group and the guests were accorded a four course sumptuous dinner.
