Health Minister dozing, patients dying says UNP
Written by CNS
It is a cruel irony that it is while SL ‘s Health Ministry is headed by a Minister who is the Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) that the country is faced with the worst health hazards and disasters claiming even lives of innocent children , some in the prime of their lives .

The latest in the series of death , disease and disaster inundating the Health sector is the contracting of A/H1n1 virus by five Doctors of the Karapitiya teaching Hospital ICU. These doctors have fallen victims because they have not been provided with the necessary masks by the Health authorities despite their complaining of this shortage earlier. They have also complained about the lack of a separate ward for treatment .

The Doctors have warned that if remedial action is not taken they would refrain from working.
